Just 3 mm profile. The most discreet solution for thin panels and delicate surfaces.
When we work with precious wood veneers, thin laminates or decorative panels under 6 mm thick, the Very Low Profile range is our only viable option. At just 3 mm total profile, it lets you fix delicate panels without compromising the material integrity or adding noticeable thickness. At Riviera Trade we use it daily in luxury yacht interiors where every millimetre counts.
Our team in Palma de Mallorca has been specifying VLP for over 20 years on projects where aesthetics are the priority: walnut and ebony veneers in superyacht saloons, acoustic ceiling panels, HPL laminates in service areas and decorative headboards in VIP cabins. The fire-rated version (VL-F3FR / VL-M3FR) is mandatory on commercial vessels and we keep it permanently in stock.
The VLP range demands millimetre precision during installation. Our service includes Proliner digitisation of the surfaces to be lined, CNC routing of the VL-F3 clip cavities and professional on-board installation. For workshops machining their own panels, we provide DXF drawings with exact routing positions.
Yes — that is precisely its star application. The VL-F3 clip is routed into the substrate board (MDF, plywood) and the veneer is bonded on top. The result is an ultra-thin panel with invisible, demountable fixing. We do this constantly on yachts finished in teak, walnut and oak.
Yes, exactly 3 mm total profile. The difference is the clip material, which complies with IMO regulations for vessels. You do not need to change the panel design or routing depth. We keep it in permanent stock at our Palma warehouse.
For lightweight panels (up to 3 kg/m2) we recommend 6-8 clips per square metre, as the individual load capacity is 3 kg. We provide an optimised distribution drawing based on the size and weight of each panel in your project.
